Moist Sense by lifepatch [installation]

As lifepatch, we did an audiovisual installation in the group exhibition of Dance Your Eyes Festival 2012, Bandung, Indonesia. The exhibition was taken place in Gedung Indonesia Menggugat, an old historical building from the Dutch colonial era. In this group exhibition we present “Moist Sense”, an installation that tries to present the health of plants from their supply of water.

pure data workshop at geekfest 2012, Bandung

During lifepatch participation in geekfest 2012, manticore and I gave a pure data workshop session on the 2nd day of the festival. The workshop was primarily focus on the use of sound samples to create a beat pattern in an 16 step sequencer patch. We used several animals sounds for the workshop thus we called it “pure data Animal Rampage workshop”.

microtransformer [installation] by lifepatch for geekfest 2012

In April 2012, lifepatch participated in geekfest 2012 that was held in Bandung Indonesia. geekfest is a festival for community that working in technology. The festival is more of a public style festival, where people from various backgrounds came to see the displays of every participating communities. During our participation for this festival we displayed ‘microtransformer’ installation, a simple display of tropical fruit process (from IB:SC project) with a little artistic touch to attract the audiences in general. The responds was quite aggressive. :)

We were in Common Room Bandung, Indonesia. We were doing a little tour for a project called up:DATE with our friends moddr_ from the Netherlands. On our visit to Common Room, moddr_ did a presentation about their activities as a medialab as well as presenting one of their project called Facebook Suicide Machine. And after they give a Why Fy workshop, to learn how to hack in to wi-fi connections that is protected by password.
